Benefits Information
What are you eligible for?

Did you know that many visually impaired individuals & adults over 55 need assistance paying for prescription drugs, health care, utilities, and other basic needs?

There are over 2,500 federal, state and private benefits programs available to help. But many people don’t know these kind programs exist or how they can apply. This is where we can come in to help!

For information only — Heritage for the Blind is not a government agency and does not provide, administer, apply for, or determine eligibility for any government benefit. We offer free information only; you apply directly with each program or agency.

Our free benefits tool asks you a few questions to help you learn about benefits and programs that may help with everyday living expenses. This tool returns general educational information about benefit programs that exist. It does not determine your eligibility, enroll you, or apply on your behalf. You apply directly with each program or agency. Heritage for the Blind is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 58-2164446) that provides information and guidance only — we do not provide, administer, or determine eligibility for any government benefit, and you apply directly with each program or agency.

In addition, our counselors, whom are visually impaired themselves, will address your questions and help provide you local rehabilitation facilities and other assistance depending on your current situation.
